How to Reset Honeywell Thermostat Pro Series?

Depending on your thermostat’s functionality and the problem you’re attempting to fix, you can reset the thermostat in one of several ways. The following are explained some different ways of resetting that you can try as per your requirement:

  • Disconnect the circuit by flipping the circuit breaker.
  • Take the thermostat off its mounting plate.
  • Now remove the batteries and then put them back in a way that the positive terminal of the battery aligns with the negative terminal of the thermostat.
  • Take a five-second break.
  • Remove the batteries and reinstall them in the same order as they were removed, positive to positive and negative to negative.
  • Put the thermostat back on the plate.
  • Reset the circuit breaker.

Thermostats from the Honeywell 4000 Series:

The 4000s are programmable thermostats that are white and square. To re-set one, follow these steps:

  • Set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature.
  • Select Program from the drop-down menu.
  • Press the Reset button with a thin device such as a paper clip whilst also pressing the Program selection.
  • Keep the Program selection pressed for a second more. Then let go.

Thermostats from the Honeywell 6000WF Series:

  • Press both the up-arrow key and the fan key at the same time.
  • Change the value on the left to 90 and the value on the right to 1 simultaneously holding these two buttons.
  • Click the Done button.

To re-enable Wi-Fi on a 6000 series router, follow these steps:

  • Simultaneously hold down the up and fan buttons.
  • Change the left-hand number to 39 and the right-hand number to 0.
  • Click the Done button.

On a 6000 series, here’s how to reset the schedule:

  • Simultaneously hold down the up and fan buttons.
  • Change the left-hand number to 85 and the right-hand number to 1.
  • Click the Done button.

Honeywell Thermostats models 8320WF & 8580WF:

Reset the factory default settings on these Wi-Fi-enabled thermostats as follows:

  • The first step is to press the system button.
  • In the center, press the blank box and hold it for seconds.
  • Set the left-hand number to 0710 and the right-hand number to 1.
  • Click the Done button.

To re-enable Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

  • Select System from the menu bar.
  • Hold down the blank box located in the display’s middle.
  • Change the left-hand number to 0900 and the right-hand number to 0.
  • Click the Done button.

To reschedule, follow these steps:

  • Select System from the menu bar.
  • Locate the blank box in the center and press and hold it there.
  • Change the left-hand number to 0165, and the right-hand number to 1.

Honeywell Thermostat model 8321WF:

To factory reset:

  • Select the Menu.
  • Select Dealer Information.
  • Go to the bottom of the page and look for the date code.
  • Make a note of the date code.
  • Click the Done button.
  • Select Installer.
  • Fill in the date code.
  • Reset to Defaults.

To reset the Wi-Fi:

  • Select Menu.
  • Use the down arrow to navigate to Wi-Fi Setup.
  • Click on Wi-Fi Setup.

For schedule resetting:

  • Select the Menu.
  • Use the down arrow to navigate to Preferences.
  • Now choose Preferences.
  • Scroll down until you see Default Schedule.
  • Then choose the Default Schedule.

Thermostats from the Honeywell 9000 Series:

To factory reset:

  • Select the Menu option.
  • Select the Preferences tab.
  • Now restore the settings to factory default.
  • Select Yes when prompted.

For setting up Wi-Fi:

  • Select the Menu option.
  • Select Wi-Fi Setup from the menu.

For schedule resetting:

  • Select Menu.
  • Go to Preferences.
  • Select Restore Default Schedule from the drop-down menu.

T5, T5+, & T6 models of Honeywell Thermostats:

To factory reset:

  •  Hold down the Menu button.
  • Click Reset after scrolling through the options.
  • If you’re asked, “Are you sure?” Yes, should be selected.

  • Press and hold the Menu button.
  • Now move towards the left and until the word Reset appears.

  • Choose a Wi-Fi network.

For resetting schedule:

  • Hold down the Menu button.
  • Scroll down until you see Reset.
  • Press the Reset button.
  • Scroll down till you see the Schedule.
  • Choose a schedule.

Steps to factory reset:

  • Continue pressing and holding the cloud icon.
  • Hold down the down arrow till the word Reset appears.
  • Press the Reset button.

For resetting Wi-Fi:

  • Press and hold the cloud button.
  • Hold down the down arrow unless you see Wi-Fi.
  • Choose Wi-Fi.
  • Hold down the down arrow again until Setup menu opens.
  • Go to Setup.
