How To Block Emails On Gmail On Phone?

Email is an essential communication tool that many people use every day. However, sometimes we receive unwanted emails from spam or promotional sources that clutter our inbox and distract us from important messages. Luckily, Gmail has a feature that allows you to block emails on your phone. In this post, we’ll provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Step 1: Open the Gmail App

To begin, open the Gmail app on your phone. You can do this by tapping on the app icon on your home screen or app drawer. If you don’t have the app installed, you can download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: Find the Email you Want to Block

Once you’ve opened the Gmail app, find the email that you want to block. You can do this by scrolling through your inbox or by using the search bar at the top of the screen to search for a specific email.

Step 3: Open the Email

Once you’ve found the email you want to block, tap on it to open it. This will open the email in full-screen mode, and you’ll be able to see the sender’s name and email address, as well as the subject line and message content.

Step 4: Tap on the Three Dots

At the top right corner of the email screen, you’ll see three vertical dots. Tap on them to open a drop-down menu.

Step 5: Select “Block”

In the drop-down menu, you’ll see a few options, including “Reply,” “Forward,” and “Block.” Tap on “Block” to block the sender’s email address.

Step 6: Confirm the Block

After you tap on “Block,” a confirmation message will appear asking if you want to block the sender. Tap “Block” again to confirm the action.

Step 7: Manage Blocked Senders

After you block a sender’s email address, you can manage your blocked senders list by going to your Gmail settings. To do this, tap on the three horizontal lines at the top left corner of the Gmail app, scroll down to “Settings,” and then select “Blocked Addresses.”

Step 8: Unblock Senders

If you change your mind and want to unblock a sender’s email address, you can do this by going to the “Blocked Addresses” section in your Gmail settings. Find the sender’s email address on the list and tap on the “X” next to it to unblock them.

Conclusion

Blocking unwanted emails on your phone can help keep your inbox organized and free of distractions. With this step-by-step guide, you now know how to block emails on Gmail on your phone. Remember that you can always manage your blocked senders list and unblock senders if you change your mind.
