How to Get Rid of Windows 10

Smartphone and PC users were more than happy when their windows optimized devices had automatically updated to the Windows 10 version. They also didn’t let go an opportunity to tease other non-Windows smartphone users as their devices didn’t automatically update the latest versions of their operating systems. Then, it was great for them to have their device’s OS updated without buying a new one. But, after experiencing the new OS which is Windows 10, many users wished not to have updated their devices.

Perhaps, it was the automatic update option that made Windows 10 users reach a mark of half billion too early. Folks who then celebrated a free update to new OS are now looking for the ways to uninstall Windows 10.

Here is how you can uninstall the Windows 10 or revert to the Window 7 or Windows 8.1 version.

  1. Use a Virtual Machine Program

The number one solution in the list might not work for ordinary users who don’t know how to run such software. Further, it also doesn’t uninstall the Windows 10 completely. There are virtual machine programs that allow using two operating systems for the same device. Well, this method is not foolproof because even if it works, it required a hard disk with more space and RAM with more processing power.

Let’s move with uninstalling of Windows 10 which differs depending upon the following conditions.

  1. If users have updated Windows within last 30 days
  2. If it has been more than 30 days since they updated their operating systems

III.    And, if they bought a system pre-installed with Windows 10

  1. Revert to Previous Version through Settings

If it has not been more than 30 days since you updated to the Windows 10, then go to the Settings, Update, and Security and Recovery option. Now, look for Go Back to Windows 7 option and hit the Get Started button. The process of Windows 10 uninstallation can take up to an hour depending upon the PC. And, there is nothing that one needs to do during the process.

After the uninstallation is complete, make sure you check for all the files and look for the software that needs to be reinstalled.

  1. Clean Install for Windows 7

You might not see an option of a downgrade to the previous version of Windows if it has been more than 30 days since you updated to the Windows 10. In such a case all you need is a clean install. For a clean install, you have to follow this process.

  • Look for the discs that come up with your PC, when you buy it and find the Windows Activation code.
  • If you can see either the drives or the activation code, then burn the Windows 7 or Window 8.1 ISO files on a CD. You can use Microsoft’s official website for downloading these ISO files.
  • To download the ISO files you need to find and then enter the product key for the required version of Windows, and then hit the download button to have final data with you.
  1. Removing Preinstalled Windows 10

Well, eliminating pre-installed Windows 10 is not such an easy thing. For downgrading to a previous version, one needs to buy the activation code which is necessary for downloading of ISO files and burning them on the CD. Or, one should obtain the license. Once, a user has the permission of Windows 7 and Windows 8 then uninstallation process for Windows 10 is natural.

Note: A quick and easy uninstallation of Windows 10 is possible only if it has not been more than few days since a user updated his/her device to the latest version. Otherwise, one must need a product activation key to have ISO files burnt on a CD or to buy a license.
