Why iTunes Not Opening in my Windows Operating System!!

iTunes has always been one of the most amazing and fastest ways of accessing music whether it’s a phone or a Laptop. If you are a Windows user or Apple, iTunes has always been at your side to entertain you in respect of Music. The original and main focus of iTunes is music, with a library offering organization, collection, and storage of users’ music collections.
Options for sound optimizations exist, as well as ways to wirelessly share the iTunes library. The journey of original iPhone smartphone required iTunes for activation but after 2011, iTunes was required for installing software updates for the company’s iOS devices. But Apple adopting new technology and new mindset made it available to Windows PC for the original music-based purpose.

Method To Fix iTunes Not Starting Problem

    1. Reboot / Boot System
      As you update your system to the latest version with iTunes manager there would be no bugs that would remain with your existing iTunes application. There may be some bug that falls off with the Windows colab that why iTunes don’t opens. This could be the reason why iTunes is not opening.     2. Configure Firewall
      The Windows 10 firewall may block iTunes from connecting to the Internet properly. Usually, this happens after a Windows or iTunes update. As a result, you’ll find the application having trouble communicating with the Internet and crashing as a result.However, you can fix this issue by allowing iTunes to communicate on both private and public networks.

      1. Open the Run box, enter firewall.cpl, and click Run.
      2. Click the option labelled Allow an App or Feature Through Windows Firewall.
      3. Click the button labelled Change Settings to enable modifications to the firewall. Now, scroll down the list, and make sure that both the checkboxes – Private and Public – are enabled next to iTunes.

        If you have networking issues, you’ll find one of these checkboxes disabled. Once done, click OK to save the changes.
        Also, don’t be surprised to find the iTunes entry not listed within the firewall at all. If this is the case, do as follows:
      4. Click the Allow Another App button and manually find the iTunes executable file. By default, it resides within the C:/Program Files/iTunes directory.
      5. Select the file – iTunes.exe – and click Add

        After adding, allow the application on both Private and Public networks and save the changes. iTunes should now connect to the Internet and work without any hiccups.
    3. Disconnect your PC from the Internet
      Errors communicating with the iTunes Store and other Apple services can sometimes cause issues with iTunes startup. If you remove the ability to connect to those services, you can see if those features have issues that need to be resolved.

      • Disconnect your computer from the Internet. For example, turn-off WiFi or unplug your ethernet cord.
      • Open iTunes.
      • If iTunes opens with no issues, update your drivers. If there’s still an issue, contact Apple Support for help with isolating any errors.
      • If there’s still an issue, continue below.

User-specific issues

If the issue only happens in one particular user account then create a new iTunes library to see if the issue occurs in a new library. If using a new iTunes library resolves the issue, try to restore an older copy of your iTunes library. If an older library has the same issue, contact Apple Support for help with isolating the issue.
To change back to your original library, close iTunes, and then hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while you reopen the program.
If the issue persists
Check for issues with content files. Audio files can sometimes cause iTunes to quit unexpectedly or stop responding when the program is analyzing gapless playback information. To determine which file might be causing the issue, follow the steps below:

  1. Quit iTunes.
  2. Open the iTunes folder:
    C:\users\username\My Music\iTunes
  3. Move the iTunes Library.itl file to your desktop.
  4. Open iTunes. Your library will be empty.
  5. Press the Control and B keys on your keyboard to open the iTunes menu bar. Choose File > Add Folder to Library.
  6. Open the folder where your music is located:
    C:\users\username\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Media
  7. Choose an artist, album, or song to add to the library and drag it into the iTunes window.
  8. Wait for iTunes to successfully add the item to your library and perform the gapless playback scan.
  9. If the scan is successful, continue adding songs to your library.
  10. If there’s an issue with one of your files, your issue will reappear after you add it to the library. If it reappears, start over with these steps, being careful not to add the files that caused the issue.
