Increase Readership: Social Media are the New Buzz Word

You may already have a blog and may be posting articles frequently but somehow, you just do not seem to be getting the desired result of getting readership. This may be for the simple reason that you are almost detached, not connected to others by checking out the popular social media sites. Perhaps, you need to post your articles as not just from your own point of view, but by involving others into giving you some answers. You need to reach out and form a relationship with the readers by posing questions for which, they may have an answer or a view. You can do all these through popular social media sites, by connecting with people who may find your blog interesting. Social media sites are now very popular for connecting with readers and getting more readership circle.

Popular social media sites

Most people will not be interested enough to check out your blog if you are not very informative about yourself in the LinkedIn profile. You need to have a good LinkedIn profile which will be an effective way of attracting readers to your blog. Likewise, in Twitter and Facebook, you need to have a link between your Facebook account and Twitter account. Whenever, you put up a post on your blog, this is notified both to Facebook and Twitter and readers can then check your blog link. Readers will be more likely to get in touch with you on the social media outlets, when they have a fair idea that you rely on those tools regularly.

Be an expert on your subject and encourage discussion

Your blog must be focused on a particular subject even though you post the odd different post for keeping things interesting and fun. However, a successful blog is one which is consistent in a particular subject matter and encourages people to seek out your advice. You need to be an expert in your particular area of subject that you put up in your blog. An interesting way of getting comments on your blog is by throwing in something controversial; enough to get certain people fired up to get their response. At the end of your blog, live questions hanging so that you encourage others to respond.

Be unique in the contents and easy for readers to link

Write your own original content for the blog, as people are quite skeptical of going through contents which have been copied from elsewhere. When you write a good content, there is immediate response from readers and this can increase your number of readers. Keep updating your contents with quality material and do not hold back from editing yourself thoroughly before it is put up. Readers are looking for quality work which is presented in a most palatable way. Impress readers with your timeless quality work and have them coming back for more. Maintain this brand identity and familiarize your readers with who you are, both as a blogger and a person.

These are a few of the things that you can do, to attract traffic to your blog and pave the way for all your future blogs to be read. Be consistent because you never know who could be checking out your blog, so maintain who it is that you want your readers to hear, across the areas you have spotlighted yourself online.
