If you are running in the park alone, or if you are using the treadmill on your own, it can be pretty boring. The best solution for that is to gear up with your MP3 and listen to some music. However, not all music is appropriate for your workout activity. Slow songs tend to, well, slow you down. Apparently, fast songs make you more active. Of course, if you are working out, it would be better if you make a playlist of fast songs.
For those who are not aware of the best workout songs, I will be giving a list which you can find below. Note that the songs are not from the same era. Some are new, while others are years ago. I just selected my personal picks which I believe you might want to use too. And for easier reference, I arranged the songs alphabetically.
1. Escape by Enrique Iglesias.
This is one of the best songs by the Spanish singer. You can use it while jogging. It’s not that fast, but definitely will keep you moving. Released in 2001, who would have thought that this song is more than 10 years old?
2. Fighter by Christina Aguilera.
If you are practicing shadow boxing, this is a perfect tune. The lyrics can really make you punch like a real pro.
3. Fire Burning on the Dance Floor by Sean Kingston.
A song by a 19 year old artist. A pop dance mix that can really make anyone move without noticing the time. It’s also a plus that the song is considered a ‘clean’ music. You can pump up the volume and you don’t have to worry if your kids will hear it.
4. Gasolina by Daddy Yankee.
Worldwide hit. With the Latino feel, I’m sure that you would like to swing your hips like no other.
5. I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas.
Black Eyed Peas songs are known to make the crowd go wild. This song is no exception. I won’t be surprised if you will jump while listening to this.
6. Let the Joy Rise by Abigail.
This song is a must have, I tell you. It’s upbeat and the lyrics can really raise you.
7. Let’s Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez.
Most J-Lo songs are perfect for workout sessions. But this is my absolute favorite. It’s very consistent. From the beginning until the end, you can’t help it but dance.
8. Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO
Recently, this song rocked the world. Why wouldn’t it? The rhythm is cool, plus, you can include their trademark dance as one of your workout steps.
9. Run the World (Girls) by Beyonce.
Just like J-Lo’s songs, Beyonce’s can also make you sweat your fat fast. It doesn’t matter if you are a ‘he’. Just follow the rhythm and I’m sure you’ll be running like a cheetah.
10. Sexy and I Know it by LMFAO.
This is truly a workout song that will uplift your confidence. You are sexy even with a 50 pound excess on your body. This will keep you going.
Too bad I only have to write 10 tracks. Believe me, there are more than 1000 workout songs to choose from. Load your i-pods with these upbeat tracks and you will be losing weight sooner than you think.
